CRESCENDO is the premier robotics competition. Longtime Amateur Robotics Enthusiast Brian Lederer features the upcoming event that fosters engineering skills and utilizes the sport of robotics to harness creative power:
Robotics is the ultimate sport of creativity and problem solving. Few people would use “sport” and “robotics” in the same sentence, but Information Technology (IT) Professional and Amateur Robotics Enthusiast Brian Lederer absolutely will! CRESCENDO, a FIRST Robotics Competition, is exemplary of the sports-like dynamic of amateur robotics. Just as exhilarating as watching a more athletic competition, amateur robotics events are full of unique twists and turns. Best of all, there is innovation thriving at the epicenter of a robotics competition arena! While some people might look at robot building experiences as simply a project or learning opportunity, IT Professionals like Lederer see these events for what they truly are. The reality is, the young minds who cultivate their creativity to collaborate on projects at technology and STEM based competitions are the same people who will lead industries like tech. With Artificial Intelligence (AI), machine learning and computer science thriving as professional fields of the future, competitions like CRESCENDO serve as a playground for innovation to be created.
CRESCENDO First Robotics Competition will take place throughout 2024. The event is currently accepting professional mentors who are interested in helping to foster an environment that will help young professionals hone their teamwork skills. First Robotics competitors will submit industrial-size robots to compete in a field game focused on real-world engineering tech.
